ongoing going-ons

lotsa things happened in the past 3 months..... i travelled to KL, Harbin & Bangkok... met up with old friends..... received great news.... & more importantly, i'm stepping into an exciting new phase in my life!

nah, not getting married yet.... but i'm gonna take up a new challenge - at work. in less than 1 month's time, i'll be relocated to bangkok, taking up a new & exciting brand portfolio, live alone independently in a foreign land, meet lotsa new people, probably travel more often around the region etc etc etc....

but i'll be back really soon, since the regional team will soon be relocated in SG. & when i'm back i'll not be reporting work in my current office, but the regional office somewhere else in SG. there are talks that 1 fine day all the different offices will be under one roof, but not sure when will that be happening though...

my current job? sad to say, gotta leave behind my 'babies' in the good hands of my colleagues. i guess that should be the right way a marketer's job should be, u can't always stick with the same portfolio your entire life right.... being exposed to different brands means you learn more about the dynamics of different categories, how to interact with the different target audience, work with more people, know abt the different biz chains specific to categories etc....

i like my current work envt, lotsa fun-loving people, esp the young peeps whom i hang out with for lunches and parties & the bombastic conversations sometimes.... anyway will still be meeting them when i'm back. who knows, after my secondment, i'll be working back in the same office again....

am really excited about the move to bangkok but for now, i still gotta deal with hell lotta stress from completing jobs at hand, handing over... trying to leave as little things undone as much as possible (but there's just toooooo much things to do!). for now, there's this little tinge of depression in me right now.... dun think i can have a good weekend this wk. trying very hard to perk myself up, at least for the weekend. haven't done any packing now and i gotta spk to my relocation coordinator very soon to discuss abt the logistics help i need .... but its like one of the last things in my mind now... i guess i'm just too tied up with all the things happening right now....

the hall babes have plans to visit me in bkk in prob may or june.... told them not to come too late as i'll be missing them so much... hope to be able to prob go to one of the islands like phuket, ko samui, krabi etc with them.... might be possible.... haha cos THAILAND HAS MORE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS THAN SINGAPORE!

anyway, going to the mall later to chk some mobile telephony plans when i'm in bkk and chk out some new laptops i intend to get...... shucks there goes my long awaited bonus.....

Bangkok Mar 08

was in BKK for work. short trip: 2 day 1 night. wanted to be there longer but as it was a last minute trip, seats were fully booked on both SQ & TG flights on sat, leaving the very last seat on Sun (luckily it was the earliest flight, so i had the whole sunday to spend before the meeting on mon morning).... anyway it was the first time i actually flew alone, as i only realised after i got to bkk!

met up with bright & his hell lotsa friends..... more pix shortly....
