Merry X'Mas & Happy 2008!

first up, merry belated x'mas & a happy new year!

am watching this old movie on C5 right now....... at the beginning, i have zero idea of what movie it is...... but something in my mind keeps telling me that i've probably seen it before..... and it could be THAT movie.... went wiki to check out the movie..... nah, prob not....

somehow, i still believe in my hunch and further checks tells me yes - its that movie! ok, just what abt THAT movie??

its Mr. Holland Opus, the movie i watched on my journey from DC to NY on the coach! have always wanted to know the title of the movie but i was somewhat clueless, the only clue i had was that the movie ended with the song, Beautiful Boy...... beautiful beautiful beautiful, beautiful boy......

the movie spks of this musician who turns to teaching music as a form of living tool, hates it, but in the end, somehow became an inspiring music teacher to his students. Then comes the part where his wife and him came to know that their toddler son was deaf (yah, you know, u're a musician and your son is deaf, can't share your passion and can't understand how impt music is to you that kinda stuff... how devastating that can be right...) pretty touching, although the movie went kinda slow..... watch it when u have time and can find the movie.....

today marks the end of my bumming 'on-leave' days....gonna go back to work tml.... looking back, it seems i've done quite nothing much over the past days except for lotsa partying and eating and gathering..... well, its the festive mah...... lotsa nice pix taken... shall post them when i have the time....
