Updates

Alot has happened over the past few weeks......

i drove on the road the first time, getting scoldings from my instructor for depressing/releasing the clutch too fast or too slowly. its fun, though i do get jittery when approaching junctions where there are pedestrians crossing the roads. And I also passed my advanced theory, in my first attempt! my practical driving test date falls on jan 11 07. let's see if i can pass it in my first attempt!

been coming out with my pals, getting into a more active lifestyle of routinal rollerblading, clubbing (trying and trying to cut that down but still, always having too much fun to stop!) yesterday i went out with the bitchers. that's when i really really realise that we have all grown out of that girl-hood, slowly into womanhood. the kind of topics that we talk about has pretty changed. we're more into topics like our career, sex, when someone's gonna get married.... the changes seems to come a little too fast.... i'm trying to get adjusted to the fact that we're no longer girls.... hmmm.... this is indeed a transitional phase that have stark contrast on both ends..... maybe in the next transition phase, we'll be talking about children and husbands...haha....

PLUS!!! i'm going to POLAND this coming april! yippeeee!!! i've agreed ai lin to go to Poland with her to attend a CP friend's wedding. I know this polish couple too as they used to visit ai lin in our apartment often and even came to cook traditional polish food for us before. rachel is coming along too.... yeah! i'm oh so excited!!! Konrad, who's friends with this Polish couple said he'll get some time off work and bring us around when we're in Poland, maybe even back to his homwtown where there're mountains and lakes... oh i love nature!

besides poland, we intend to go to Germany as well. We still haven't decided which other places to go to. Tentatively i have in mind, vienna in austria (hoping to getmyself infused with some artsy mood ), prague in czech republic (heard its a beautiful place....), bratislava in slovakia (ha! i can visit vlado there, but dun think the chances of me having time to visit there is high......hmmmmm.... but then again, bratislava is only like 60miles or 60 km from vienna!)

Ewa, the polish bride-to-be wrote an email and told us some details of the wedding. we're required to wear an elegant ball dress and i've decided to bring along my nice daniel yam jc prom gown which i spent so much on and has only worn once.... she also reminded us that it'll be ard 5 degree celcius then, so we tropical kids better bring along sufficient warm clothings. (i've been going to Cold Wear to look for some nice trenchcoat, scarve, gloves hee..... and realise my parents have some warm clothings too!)

i've started to save up for my travel plan....we figured that we have to save up abt $4,000 for the two weeks trip. now, i gotta scrimp and save to pay off my study loan, bills, computer loan and stave off a portion of my pay to save up for this trip. well, given abt 10 mths to save up, it should be alright, although tough cos i gotta pay off the $2,000 computer loan by the end of this yr. oh! cash strapped.

another good news! i've got converted to perm! yep yep! more importantly for now, it means i'm entitled to the bonus this yr! hope this relieves part of the cash strapped situation that i'll be in next yr....

i feel like my life is in a good shape now... not much of a complain. except for the fact that i have not found the ONE who loves me and i love, i have a good career that i love, great friends, more active lifestyle, an achievable short term goal ahead...... yep, life's good.
