The World in a Nutshell

Alright, this is the THING that i mentioned and thought is quite interesting. did it in one of my seminars and came across in my gms book.... believe many of you muz be bored with ur exams, take this as a little treat..... well, it ain't any personality test, juz to test you on how much u know abt this world.......

ok, take out a pen and paper and get ready......

if we could shrink the earth population to a village of precisely 100 people, with the existing human ratios remaining the same, how many of them would be

1. Asians? Europeans? Africans?

2. from the western hemisphere (north and south)?

3. female? male?

4. non-white? white?

5. non-christian?

6. heterosexual? homosexual? (sorry, bisexual is not an option here....heehee...)

7. 6 ppl will hold ______ % of the world's wealth. of this 6 ppl, how many of them are US citizens?

8. living in substandard housing?

9. unable to read?

10. suffering from malnutrition?

11. near death? near birth?

12. college graduate?

13. owning a computer?

14. having internet access?

alright, write down your ans...... do not cheat. I'm sure you'll be surprise to know juz how little you know abt the world.....

1. 57 asians, 21 europeans, 8 africans

2. 14 from the western hemisphere

3. 52 female, 48 male

4. 70 non-white, 30 white

5. 70 non-christian

6. 89 heter, 11 gay and lesbian (sound quite alot huh?)

7. 59% of the world's wealth would be held by 6 ppl and all 6 of them would be US citizens (yesh, u're right, bill gates and warren buffett muz be one of them)

8. 80 would live in substandard housing (how lucky u are?)

9. 30 unable to read

10. 20 would be suffering from malnutrition

11. 1 near death, 1 near death (ur guess muz be much larger than this right?)

12. 1 would have college education

13. 1 would own a computer (again, u're lucky!)

14. 0 would have internet access (confirm, gurantee + chop! u're damn lucky!)
