Lost Boy Saga

i'll not be surprised if i kenna dengue fever...... been bitten by mosquitoes many times at home.... i think its from the longkang downstairs....gotta go call the authorities and ask if they do religiously fog the place regularly....damn it.....

seems like something's bugging my blog.....the bandwidth limit prob! darn! how? can someone offer me a solution...... seriously, i dun see it myself so i wouldn't have known if sy din tell me....

had a little encounter juz now..... not something ghostly lah..... but its an encounter with a lost boy....

saw this l'il boy as i was walking toward my block..... he was crying and crying for his mum...... and me, being the kind-hearted jie jie, went over to ask him what's wrong....

b: i want my ma ma aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.......... booooooooo.......hoooooooooo......

me: where's ur mama.....

b: aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh......... aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.......... i WANT MY MA MA!!!!

me: okok.....where do u stay?

b: aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh............... i WANT MY MA MA.....

ok, seems like its hard to establish a two-way communnication

me: ok, u go and sit over there (as i pointed to a row of seats at the void deck)

he guai guai went over and sat down....... i ransacked my bag to look for whatever candy i have in my bag..... oh no! i have none!!!! the only edible stuff i have is those listerine breath-freshening film which i think if i give him, he'll cry even louder.....

i din know what to do, to wait together for someone to come identify him or what..... so i chose the simplest way, the way in which i can see how my parents' tax money is out into use...... call the police......

eh wait, before i go on, i shud educate the public on proper police-calling...... how? for such case like finding a boy somewhere, or petty cases like neighbourhood rifes etc..... dun call 999!

its better to call the neighbourhood police post, if u know the no, if not call 100 to ask. if u lazy to do so, call 67770000 (i think so lah....)

ok, back to the lost boy issue. i called the NPP and while they're on their way, i tried to engage him in a conversation to stop him from crying....

me: boy, u like mickey mouse? (i dunno what to ask, so this came to my mind). he nodded his head. power ranger? beyblade? pikachu? i waited for him to respond to me.... you know how to sing the pikachu song?

haha, i seriously dunno what to ask liao so i attempted to get him to sing me the pikachu. he probably find me irritable, ask so many question so he ignored me. damn. i could have sang him the song.i know how to sing k.... haha....

several attempts to break the ice followed and i was secretly hoping those ppl who walk past us wun think i'm some baddie trying to abduct the l'il boy....

after a few minutes, a girl walked past 'eh douglas, what are u doing here?'

i saw light. this gal said he's her auntie's son (cousin lah). i tried to confirm they're related and then called back the police post to inform the policemen that they dun have to come liao...... yeah, that's e end of the lost boy saga........ i walked home happily thinking that i've done another good deed......heeheehee.... can finally go back home and watch tv liao.....

i think most of u prob dun have this prob...... i've always thought that my handphone does poorly on the reception side.... but guess i'm wrong...... cos it can detect m'sian operators easily (almost more easily than my singtel operator)..... and at home, in my room..... for goodness sake, i always receive such sms....

sianz..... its always celcom, maxis etc...... this is mainly cos i stay in woodlands, quite near the causeway......together with auto-roam, my phone always unintentionally roam to m'sia...... gotta go do something abt the auto roam thing before friends come screaming at me for having waste their money on accidental trunk calls haha.....

anyway, i've started packing my toiletries liao...... clothes shall wait till next week, when i'm done with all my going-outs.... then i can pack my fave clothes.....

quite grateful to my family too..... my mama provided lotsa financial support for my trip..... she's helped paid abt S$4000 so far for the prog fee, air tix and USD500 for me to spend... my eldest gave me USD200 for me and 2nd sis and papa gave me S$200 each to change into USD..... oh no..... this work and travel prg is like so costly..... how am i gonna repay my family???? all of them helped me so much. my siss' been buying me toiletries, po chai pills, panadol and bags which i can use over there etc.... ok.... i promise i'll give my mama my bonus when i receive it. it shud work out to be ard USD 700..... i resolute to be a better sis and daughter now!

more gatherings and packing shall take place in the coming week. gonna attend a recruitment talk on 4th may (yeah, i'm already attending such things even though i'll be back only in late sept/oct....kiasu huh...)
